The 2024-2025 team
The team started out as a school project. Our school (Ynov) had decided to create a CTF team with members from any of their several campuses in France.

I joined the Cyber Crew team to sharpen my cybersecurity skills and dive deeper into real-world challenges. For me, CTFs are not only about problem-solving and technical growth, but also about connecting with like-minded people who share the same passion for learning and hacking. Joining this team is an exciting opportunity to improve, collaborate, and have fun while pushing my limits in cybersecurity.

I was the captain of the team for the 2024-2025 year. I enjoy trying things out in every category, but misc is where I usually perform the most.
Looking back, leading this team was my favourite academic project. It was very intense and time consuming, but a very pleasing experience overall.

Being part of the 2024-2025 roster was a very fulfilling experience for me. The thrill of climbing up rankings in various international CTF events was very pleasant. I mostly worked on forensics and Active Directory challenges, but collaborating and training with the team motivated me to take an interest in other topics.
This was my favorite academic experience during my final year of studies.

Some numbers
This year, we participated in 21 CTF events, among which 14 were online and 7 were on-site, in France.
We were able to peak at the 2nd position on CTFTime in France for a few weeks. Due to exams coming close to the end of the academic year, and probably some fatigue of the numerous events, our rank decayed since we were not able to keep up with online events.
Our best performance: THCon
Since many of us come from the south of France, we were able to have two teams competing at the THCon event. It was a great challenge to face our usually teammates.
At this event, we placed #1 and #3, which is our best performance (at least in terms of ranking :p).
